SCOPE OF ROLE:

- Interfaces with a diverse group of internal and external sources to resolve problems, influence decisions and provide consultative services
- Works under limited supervision of the Vice President requiring higher planning skills and project management skills
- Manages special projects and all other assignments as determined by the Vice President
- Represents the agency and programs and in a professional manner to funders, consumers, potential consumers, referring agencies, network members, etc.
- Remains current and updated on new regulations, policies, industry trends, and best practices

- Embracing Creative Narratives: Peer Specialists need to be able to understand, share and discuss multiple frameworks for understanding life experiences such as psychosis with participants and the rest of the S:US team. Peer Specialists intentionally use language in the service of listening to understand and making space for complex personal stories of recovery and resilience.
- Advocacy: Peer Specialists advocate with and for program participants both in the larger community and on the team.
- Co-Creating Support and Wellness Tools: Collaborate with participants to clarify their personal visions and develop their wellness toolkit. Along with other team members, Peer Specialists support participants in strengthening their self-awareness, building life skills, and connecting to resources and community outside of the S:US team.
- Influencing Team Culture: Whenever possible, positively influencing the team culture by advocating for clients, promoting a youth friendly approach and encouraging the use of recovery-oriented language. S:US Peer Specialists also work actively within the team itself to help build an environment that operates from a belief in the human potential to grow and an understanding of human diversity.

S:US is seeking a Senior Case Manager for our men's shelter in Brooklyn.
This position is located at 599 Ralph Avenue Brooklyn, NY 11233.
The Senior Case Manager provides and coordinates client services.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct intake process with new clients within 24 hours of admission; includes but is not limited to explanation of resident rights and responsibilities, and grievance procedures
- Conduct psychosocial, vocational/educational, and housing assessments and documentation of same
- Provide accurate, complete, and timely documentation of the provision of supportive social services and client progression/regression toward the goals of securing permanent affordable housing
- Prepare housing applications and assist clients with the housing application/interview process.
- Monitor and assess client progression/regression in behavior and/or appearance
- Facilitate group and individual counseling, workshops, psych education, and recreational activities
- Conduct room/dorm visits/inspections to assess client personal hygiene, room cleanliness, and overall ADL skills

- SCOPE OF ROLE:

SCOPE OF ROLE:
The Outreach Specialist will be part of a clinical team of “can-do” people who continually challenge the status quo, merging cutting-edge innovation with groundbreaking research to decrease disparities in mental health and substance use problems by utilizing technology and training to provide high quality and accessible mental health assessments, immediate care, and referrals, as well as promote financial wellness among vulnerable populations. The Outreach Specialist will be based at an integrated OASAS and Article 31 Outpatient Mental Health Clinic serving adults living with substance use disorders and mental illness; including clinical program development, supervision, training and evaluation of professional staff.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Undergo training by the New York State Psychiatric Institute (NYPSI) Mental Wellness Equity Center.
- Utilize the Mental and Financial Wellness Everywhere Tool (mwTool), to screen clients for symptoms of common disorders (depression, anxiety, PTSD), severe disorders (psychosis, mania), suicide, and financial stressors.
- Based on mwTool results, match the type and severity of symptoms to one or more brief low-intensity counseling interventions or coordinate referral to a higher level of care (mental health specialist).
- Offer and deliver brief structured counseling interventions with step-by-step guidance from provider facing apps specific to the client’s symptom severity and areas of need.
- Provide direct coaching, education, and advocacy in linking, engaging clients to get services through referrals in the community.
- Participate and complete all required training as indicated by S:US and NYPSI.
- Form relationships with community-based organizations (CBOs) to engage with communities with long histories of barriers to care.
- Attend morning huddles to communicate impediments and confirm arrival of outreach locations.
- Maintain frequent communication with your supervisor via Microsoft Teams or other communication platforms.
- Actively monitors the integrity of consumer data; responsible for the reliability and accuracy of clinical data housed by S:US' Electronic Health Record (EHR) and Practice Management software; documents all services in accordance with S:US policies, OMH and OASAS regulations and all relevant federal laws; maintains the strict confidentiality of consumers currently engaged in or formerly a recipient of treatment services.

The team includes staff members working in the areas of fundraising, marketing and communications, and volunteer management.
The Development and External Affairs Coordinator will primarily be working with the fundraising staff members, whose focus is increasing individual donations and foundation and corporate grants, and strategically positioning S:US for future contributed revenue growth. SCOPE OF ROLE
The Development and External Affairs Coordinator is responsible for managing and entering all data in Raiser’s Edge as well as providing administrative support to the Development and External Affairs team. Proficiency in Raiser’s Edge and NXT is required for this position.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: processing all donor gifts and pledges; organizing and drafting correspondence, including acknowledgment letters; assisting with fundraising and cultivation events; managing Raisers Edge database, including but not limited to producing fundraising-to date-reports and pulling donor lists; and undertaking various administrative and clerical duties.
The Development and External Affairs Coordinator also will work closely with Communications and Marketing to ensure email marketing best practices are adhered by conducting list updates in Constant Contact, and will monitor and manage social media donations.

- Document policies and procedures for proper maintenance of data.

S:US is seeking a Case Manager for our women's shelter in Manhattan.
This position is located at 35 West 126 Street new York, NY 10027.
The Case Manager will:

- Maintain up to date, accurate, complete, and timely client chart documentation in compliance with DHS, OTDA and SUS standards

In order to accomplish this, the Finance/Payroll Department commits to providing accurate and complete payroll data for internal and external use by the Executive Team and the Board of Directors.
S:US, a large non-profit organization, is looking for a highly motivated, analytical and reliable Director of Payroll who will be responsible for managing a team of payroll professionals. The candidate will have accountability for the accurate and timely processing of the company’s payroll activities in accordance with federal, state and local regulations and legislative compliance requirements. This position is considered a key liaison among Human Resources, Payroll and Accounting. The Director of Payroll will also be relied upon to troubleshoot issues, collaborate on projects and provide accurate payroll information.
Tis position has a salary range of $145,000 to $160,000 commensurate with salary. We offer a flexible remote schedule.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Payroll Management
- Direct, manage and oversee the day-to-day payroll operations to ensure timely and accurate processing of all compensation payments in accordance with federal, state and local regulations and legislative compliance requirements for approximately 2,000 salaried and hourly (union and non-union) employees using Kronos payroll system.
- Oversees, coordinates and directs the timely deduction and payment of all payroll deductions including dues, garnishments and benefit deductions.
- Maintains payroll processing system and its customizations, be a key liaison during processing changes to improve system functionality and efficiency.
- Owner of payroll accounting; be an integral part of month/quarter/year end close to reconcile payroll accounts and provide flux analysis.
- Understands processes and requirements for making payroll-related adjustments or changes (e.g., overpayments, retroactive FTE changes)
Regulatory & Compliance
- Develop, implement and maintain payroll-related policies and control procedures in accordance with best industry practice.
- Experience with general ledger (GL) month-end close process, including recording journal entries and knowledge of how payroll transactions affect the GL.
- Prepare State and Federal census reports.
- Annual Workers’ Compensation audit preparation.
- Monitor and manage payroll related vendor.
- Ensure W2s are issued accurately and timely.
- Prepare payroll related materials for external and internal auditors or as requested by management.
- Communicate government regulations affecting payroll to management.
Customer Service & Partnership
- Partner with Human Resources, Accounting and Grant Department to ensure coordination of information between departments and Payroll.
