Position Overview

The Employment Specialist will work as part of the OnTrackNY team and will ensure the best quality of care and services for program consumers in a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC). This position is heavily field based working to continue community connections or reconnect young adults who have just experienced their first instance of psychosis. The clinic will provide a range of mental health and substance use disorder services to vulnerable populations with a myriad of needs. The ideal candidate will come with experience with the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model, programs and services. Preference is given to those with 3-5 years as an Employment Specialist or similar role of providing direct employment/vocational services to clients with mental health diagnosis. CRC preferred.


  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field required, master's degree preferred 
  • CRC certification preferred
  • Two years' experience with individuals with mental illness, substance abuse issues and/or a history of homelessness required
  • Working knowledge of various computer programs including e-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Windows Operating System
  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
  • The ideal candidate will be creative, innovative, open to change and willing to contribute new ideas
