    TITLE:                          Housing Management Administrator

    DEPARTMENT:           SS-Finance

    REPORTS TO:              Director of Finance – Real Estate Operations

    Summary: The Housing Management Administrator reports to the Director of Finance – Real Estate Operations. The incumbent manages all legal cases for tenants.

    Responsibilities:

    • Run monthly report for new rent demands
    • Maintain monthly report on all outstanding severed rents & fees
    • Track, manage and report all payments from landlords and tenants
    • Assist in the development of effective strategies for addressing and solving tenant rent issues
    • Negotiate and develop payment plans for tenants with past due balances
    • Review monthly attorney bills for any discrepancies; account review and validation of charges
    • Update court disposition on Yardi with any relevant court dates
    • Upload and attach all court stipulation files into tenants record on Yardi
    • Update tenant’s status on Yardi upon receiving notice of non-renewal and after signing surrender agreements
    • Submit tenants’ files to collections weekly after move out
    • Update law firms of all potential hold-over and non-prime cases
    • Ensure all affidavits are signed by the appropriate parties and sent back to the case attorneys
    • Gather and provide all necessary documents for Division of Housing & Community Renewal complaints/cases
    • Track warrants and evictions
    • Review dispossess reports and process accordingly
    • Attend court proceedings when required
    • Track all HPD orders and imposed fines, send payment request to compliance and ensure they are paid in a timely manner
    • Prepare surrender agreements for move out inspections
    • Assist the programs with any arrears related questions/issues
    • Work with program directors to collect outstanding rental arrears

    Qualifications

     

    Job requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
    • 5 Years’ experience, Supported Housing preferred
    • Experience working with special needs individuals desirable
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (advanced functions)
    • Experience with property management software (Yardi preferred)
    • Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written) in order to work effectively with legal counsel, tenants and internal team
