  • Position Overview

    The Staff Aide delivers time sensitive applications to the various city and government entities to obtain and maintain consumers benefits and delivers clerical support to the Entitlements department.

    • Travel to various city and government agencies daily to deliver and retrieve correspondence and packages on department’s behalf:
      • Human Resources Administration: Public Assistance and Medicaid
      • SNAP
      • Social Security Administration
    • Travel to Behavioral Health and Substance Treatment Programs throughout the four boroughs to retrieve and deliver correspondence and packages
    • Open, date stamp and collate correspondence daily
    • Deliver correspondence and packages to Support Services offices located at 463 7th Avenue NYC daily
    • Shredding of documents as directed by supervisory staff
    • Monitor and replenish copy paper as needed
    • Monitor and replenish break room supplies as needed
    • Provide coverage of Front Desk in the absence of the Administrative Assistant
    • Performs other duties related to the department as defined by supervisory staff

    Qualifications

    • Ability to travel independently, effective verbal and written communication skills, basic computer skills
    • Transportion cost will be covered.
