  • Position Overview

    Purpose: Under the direct supervision of the Chief Corporate Compliance Officer/Executive VP, QA/QI, and primarily in partnership with the VP of QA & Compliance, program staff, and the Evaluation and Practice Innovation team, this position will assist in framing a cohesive approach to quality improvement throughout the organization.

    Essential Job Functions:

    • Consistent with S:US’ core value of Continuous Quality Improvement, this effort will support the development, coordination and implementation of a quality improvement program that promotes the delivery of quality services to the individuals served across all divisions, with an emphasis on services to individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
    • The position will be responsible for helping to build our capacity to further advance quality improvement efforts.  Develops tools and protocols designed to review, measure, demonstrate and evaluate consumer care and outcomes.  Prepares for and participates in internal program evaluation audits.
    • Works collaboratively with program management to develop, review, and revise policies and procedures affecting consumer quality of care and health and safety. Supports, promotes, and encourages a culture of quality services and safety throughout the organization. Builds a data analytic capacity to support the goal.

    Education, Experience, & Skills:              

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or related field; minimum of seven (7) years of experience in the healthcare or non-profit field in an operational/managerial capacity, quality improvement/audit experience preferred.


    • Must be familiar with operational, programmatic, and regulatory requirements and best practices of the NYS Office for People with Developmental Disabilities.
    • Must demonstrate integrity, sound judgment, leadership skills, and strong interpersonal skills.
    • Must be able to approach staff about quality issues with tact and diplomacy.
    • Must have strong skills in data collection, analysis, and presentation, as well as the ability to develop policies and procedures. Must also have strong communication (both verbal and written) skills, organizational skills, the ability to multi-task and balance competing priorities to meet deadlines, the ability to work creatively with minimal supervision, and the ability to problem-solve in complex situations.
    • Should be able to communicate and interact effectively at all levels of the organization. Must be willing to travel to S:US program locations to conduct internal program evaluation audits.
