  • Position Overview

    Under the direction of the HR Benefits Director, the incumbent will handle the day-to-day administration of health care benefits and eligiblity inquiries, administer worker’s compensation, benefits enrollments, qualifying event changes, and COBRA administration.

     

    Essential Functions:

    • Must have general knowledge of ERISA and state mandated benefits laws.
    • Responsible to respond to general benefits eligibility inquiries.
    • Responsible to timely administer worker’s compensation, benefits enrollments, qualifying event changes, and COBRA administration.
    • Conduct all tasks required to reply to Qualified Medical Support Orders.
    • Billing invoice reconciliations.
    • Research eligibility file errors.
    • Conduct quality assurance of internet resource library.
    • Coordinate employee recognition and total rewards events and campaigns as needed.
    • Responsible for electronic filing of benefits transactions.
    • Compile Benefits reports as needed.
    • Support Safety Committee initiatives.
    • Assist with special projects and other activities delegated by Human Resources Director of Benefits

    Qualifications

    • A Bachelor degree preferred
    • 1+ year(s) of experience in Human Resources.
    • Computer literate in all essential software programs.
    • Prior knowledge of principles and practices of Human Resources.     

    Essential Requirements:

    • General knowledge of ERISA and state mandated benefits laws.
    • Excellent organizational and communication skills
