    Services for the UnderServed (SUS) is a New York-based nonprofit organization that provides housing and support services to 25,000 individuals and their families living in New York City and Long Island.  SUS believes every New Yorker has the right to lead a life of purpose.

    Position Summary: The Exterminator purpose is to diagnose and eliminate pest problems for SUS facilities throughout NYC areas.



    • Inspects areas of infestation for SUS facilities.
    • Uses the most effective insecticides, rodenticides, baits, traps, etc. for exterminating pests as required.
    • Selects and prepares poisonous insecticides, rodenticides, etc. used in exterminating.
    • Travel to and from appointments to preform inspections and treatments
    • Perform the proper application methods within structures, moving through crawl spaces, climb ladders and stairwells
    • Always follow the products label to apply pesticides or non-pesticides safely
    • Carrying equipment, lifting mattresses, moving furniture, heavy appliances.
    • Prepares reports as required, including records of equipment usage, work schedules, and exterminating operations performed.








    Job Requirement:

    • Must have minimum GED/HS diploma
    • A valid Commercial Pesticide Applicator Certificate for Industrial, Institutional, Structural and Rodent Control (7A) issued by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation
    • At least 5 years of experience in pest control industry
    • Organized and detail oriented individual
    • Individual must be comfortable working with insects and rodents in a variety of conditions and confined spaces
    • Must be driven to help solve customer problems and provide excellent customer service.
    • A New York State valid driver’s license
