  • Position Overview

    The incumbent will coordinate all transportation needs through out the agency

     

    KEY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Operate agency vehicles as assigned, transporting residents, supplies, food, etc. to and form various destinations
    • Timely submission of all incident and accident reports as required
    • Monitor of vehicle maintenance and general condition of the vehicle on a daily basis
    • Observing the vehicle is in proper working order, and report to Director for Vehicle and Agency Mechanic immediately if problem do exit, in order to coordinate timely repair
    • Compliance to all applicable vehicle and traffic laws as they pertain to safety, speed       limits as well as proper passenger safety ,etc
    • Keeping accurate trip-logs including destination, mileage, departure and arrival times and purpose for submission to vehicle operation on a daily basis
    • Cleanliness of vehicles
    • Attend weekly supervision

    ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS MAY INCLUDE:

    Perform other duties as directed

     

     

     

    Qualifications

    EDUCATIONAL / TRAINING REQUIRED:

    • High School Diploma or GED.
    • Valid NYS Drivers License with history of safe driving.
    • Good knowledge of Metropolitan area pertaining to transportation routes

    EXPERIENCE REQUIRED / LANGUAGE PREFERENCE:

    • One year experience operate 15 passenger van.
