  • Position Overview

    The Clubhouse Generalist provides quality support services, ensuring that members receive the necessary degree of support to facilitate reaching their indicated goals.

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Engage clubhouse members in the kitchen, maintenance and clerical units.  Including working alongside members to execute tasks.
    • Be able to cook, complete job development and teach computer skills
    • Facilitate and participate in the day- to- day activities of an assigned unit on a rotating basis, with the emphasis on promoting consumer empowerment.
    • Provide assistance, training, monitoring, and direction of members’ chosen unit activities, and other program related activities.
    • Make programming available in such a manner as to model mainstream community e.g. Celebrate holidays on the actual holiday.  Provide recreation and leisure ,etc.
    • Accompany members on various group outings and social events.
    • Ensure that the assigned unit logbook is current and contains group notes, attendance sheets and monthly unit schedules.
    • Assist in facilitating groups as needed in the program on a day-to-day basis.
    • Assist members in developing a individualized plan that reflects the members’ expressed personal goals as they relate to the Clubhouse and their general goals.
    • Ensure that the members receive the necessary degree of support to facilitate reaching their indicated goals.
    • Coordinate, supervise and maintain member case records. Encourage and inspire members to work or attend school/training

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree required. 
    • Minimum of one-year experience in Clubhouse or Case Management.  
    • Computer Skills. 
    • Valid NYS Driver license
    • Knowledge of ICCD standards.
    • Understanding of Mental Health barriers
    • Ability to motivate and inspire others to succeed
