Position Summary:

The Payroll Specialist ensures that all SUS employees are paid timely and accurately in compliance with government and budget regulations.



  • Prepares and processes the Mental Health and PLWA payrolls, verifying time sheet accuracy, preparing the payroll input sheets, and completing the keying of payroll status changes into the ADP program
  • Verifies the accuracy of time sheets and sick leave, vacation, and person time accruals.
  • Manually maintains timekeeping for all mental health and PWA program employees.
  • Follows-up in house inquires and question regarding the Mental Health payroll and payroll processing issues
  • Assist in training Mental Health program staff on completing time sheets, calculating accruals, and payroll timeframes
  • Files timesheet and employee status changes in filing system as necessary

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and some college accounting courses preferred.

  • Must be proficient in Ceridian Latitude, Time Pro; or ADP experience.
  • Strong MS office skills, especially Excel.  
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills and ability to work in a team environment.
