Position Overview

POSITION OVERVIEW:

TThe porter is responsible for maintaining the overall cleaning of the building

 

 

 

KEY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsible for cleaning all areas of the facility including but not limited to the kitchen, dining room, bathrooms and common spaces
  • Stripping and waxing all building floors, vacuuming carpet areas, heavy lifting
  • Accept deliveries, and store items in appropriate places.
  • Remove trash and snow in a timely manner.
  • Complete minor repairs in the facility: painting, repairing broken cribs, dressers.
  • Perform other tasks as specified by supervisor.
  • Keep supervisor informed of all relevant information regarding

 

AADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS MAY INCLUDE:

  • Other duties as requested by Program Manager

Qualifications

 

EEDUCATIONAL / TRAINING REQUIRED:

  • High School diploma or GED.

E

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED / LANGUAGE PREFERENCE:

  • At least two years work experience in a residential or hospital setting
  • Good interpersonal skills and communication skills.
  • Bi- lingual/ bi-cultural a plu

COMPUTER SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Basic computer skills
