Position Overview

SCOPE OF ROLE:
The Assistant Program Director will provide supervision of Wellness Coaches to ensure quality care to program participants that have experienced homelessness, mental illness and substance use. In the absence of the Program Director, the Assistant Program Director will supervise all program staff in conjunction with the Regional Director.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Supervision of program staff in coordination with Program Director.
• Audit and review of program participant progress notes and service plans in conjunction with
clinical staff.
• Responsible for ensuring program participant service plans are reflective of agency standards,
person-centered and trauma informed.
• Coordinate with intake department for scheduling/interviewing all new program participants.
• Conduct protocol meeting, crisis intervention and resolution.
• Support facilities team in ensuring maintenance of apartment standards as outlined by S:US
and diverse funders.
• May represent agency with community-based organizations in developing linkages for
consumer services.
• Provide supervisory meetings with all staff and maintain documentation of these meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Must have Master’s degree in Social Work or a related human services field, with 3-5 years of
experience working with individuals with mental illness, substance use issues, HIV/AIDS and/or a history of homelessness, or in the human services field.
• 2 years of supervisory or related management experience preferred.
• Computer literate in Microsoft suite, skill sets in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Must have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Understanding of the diverse needs of individuals and families experiencing homelessness.
 
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
• Bilingual English/Spanish speaking preferred.
• Harm reduction, trauma informed care, and motivational interviewing experience preferred.
