  1. I. SCOPE OF ROLE:

 

The Information Systems department is seeking a Software Engineer to design and implement scalable solutions that enhance efficiency and align with organizational goals. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to deliver high-quality products, developing software solutions to solve business problems, conducting quality testing for Information Systems products, and creating documentation and training materials. The Software Engineer will focus on designing, documenting, and executing projects while ensuring systems meet user requirements and integrate effectively with commercial tools.

This position emphasizes hands-on technical work, including performing code reviews, troubleshooting system issues, optimizing workflows, driving innovation, and advancing the organization’s technology landscape.

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Software Development

 

  • Design and implement integrations between systems to ensure seamless interoperability.
  • Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and optimized for performance.
  • Develop and deploy Azure cloud-based software solutions to address business needs.
  • Automate manual processes and workflows for improved efficiency.
  • Establish and follow testing protocols to ensure applications meet functional and performance standards.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Information Systems to align technical solutions with business objectives and support project planning and execution.
  • Plan and estimate tasks for development projects.
  • Utilize Azure Fabric and Purview for data integration, governance, and lineage tracking.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including system architecture and workflows.
  • Provide training and support for colleagues, assisting with technical challenges.
  • Coordinate projects to meet timelines and communicate effectively with stakeholders and management.

  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including system architecture and workflows.
  • Provide training and support for colleagues.
  • Ensure documentation is user-friendly and accessible to aid understanding and adoption of solutions.
  • Develop training materials to help colleagues understand technical systems.

 

III.               KEY PERFORMANCE STANDARDS

  • Technical Expertise: Demonstrated ability to design and implement effective technical solutions using modern tools and methodologies.
  • Problem-solving: Strong analytical skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
  • Collaboration: Work effectively with stakeholders to align technical solutions with business objectives.
  • Communication: Clearly convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Maintain composure in high-pressure situations and provide respectful, solution-oriented support.

 

  1. IV. REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in software development or a related field, preferred.
  • Proficiency in C#, Python, React, Bootstrap, MVC Core, Azure Cloud, and SQL.
  • Experience working in Azure-based environments.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power BI and Power Platform.
  • Experience with PowerShell and Python is a plus.
  • Experience in developing ETL/data pipelines.
  • Familiarity with Snowflake or similar software is a plus.
  • A technical portfolio showcasing relevant work is appreciated but not required.
