Position Overview

The Administrative Assistant ensures the smooth and efficient operation of the clerical and support services of the program.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Greet visitors in a courteous manner
  • Answer telephone, screen and route calls and take messages, politely and efficiently
  • Draft and type correspondence and reports, maintaining confidentiality
  • Maintain organized files
  • Route incoming and outgoing mail
  • Photocopy and fax documents
  • Order and maintainoffice supplies and equipment
  • Complete other projects as required by immediate supervisor or senior program staff

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred
  • Minimum two year experience in an office setting is preferred.
  • Computer skills, including word processing and spreadsheets.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Valid New York State Drivers License a plus.
