Position Overview

  1. SCOPE OF ROLE:

Clinical Supervisor is recovery oriented to lead a team of “can-do” people who continually challenge the status quo, merging cutting-edge innovation with groundbreaking research to effect positive change in the lives of so many. This position is responsible for assisting with the oversight an integrated treatment setting participating in the Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) demonstration project. The Clinical Supervisor will be responsible for the delivery of clinical services of an integrated OASAS 822 and Article 31 Outpatient Mental Health Clinic serving adults living with substance use disorders and mental illness; including clinical program development, supervision, training and evaluation of professional staff.

 

  1. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist in oversight of the day-to-day operations of the clinic.
  • Liaise with Clinic Director in all critical areas of operation.
  • Supervise and evaluate Psychotherapist staff and interns.
  • Review service plans of Peer and Case Management staff.
  • Provide agency and in-service trainings; promote staff development to ensure clinic staff possess core competencies to effectively treat clients.
  • Participation in committees responsible for quality assurance, incident management and utilization review.
  • Oversee EHR and clinic procedure training of new staff.
  • Responsible for Incident Report submission.
  • Provide direct care services as needed.
  • Assist in managing client crises and onsite and offsite emergencies.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • LCSW required
  • 3-5 years’ experience in substance use or mental health clinic management and supervision.
  • Experience with SMI, dually diagnosed, HIV/AIDS populations.
  • Knowledge of best practices in clinic operations.
  • Background in integrated treatment of co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders.
  • Expertise in direct evidence-based clinical practice, hiring and supervision of clinical staff, clinic management.
  • Strong operational knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, private insurers and Managed Care inclusive of laws, regulations, and the contracting process. 
  • Operational knowledge of budgeting and billing processes.
  • Excellent management/administrative skills; ability to multi-task; close attention to detail; ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Strong knowledge of OMH and Article 31 regulations (Part 599)
  • Strong knowledge of OASAS and 822 regulations
  • Possession of Supervision in Field Instruction Certification (SIFI)
  • Experience with diverse populations highly preferred
  • Bilingual English/Spanish speaking
