Position Overview

S:US is seeking a Regional Administrator of Day Services for their Day Habilitation programs. 

 

SCOPE OF ROLE:

To advocate and coordinate services according to the needs of people supported helping them achieve personal goals identified through meaningful and purposeful Day Services.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist the Vice President of Day Services in daily administrative functions for the Day Habilitation Program, implementing SUS policies as per OPWDD guidelines.
  • Supervise Day Habilitation Program Directors, in day-to-day program management
  • Attend program surveys, collaborating with the Vice President to develop written action plans for audits.
  • Coordinate with Central Office Human Resources, Fiscal Department, Operations, and Facilities Maintenance for adequate program resources.
  • Ensure staff access to applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Conduct and oversee staff training workshops quarterly or as needed.
  • Oversee the implementation of People Supported Day Habilitation plans and supports
  • Organize supervisory meetings and quarterly staff training with the Vice President of Day Services
  • Active participation in Conferences, Trade Associates and Advocacy Committees within the IDD field
  • Ensure all interactions and support align with agency CORE values.
  • Assist with program development tasks as assigned by the VP of Day Services.
  • Support QIDPs in their roles and aid Medicaid Service Coordinators in meeting people supported needs.
  • Complete Quality Improvement reports and resolve outstanding issues.
  • Ensure compliance with OPWDD standards through site walkthroughs.
  • Review clinical charts and outcome books for adequate documentation.
  • Schedule and maintain current training for all staff members.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by the VP of Day Services

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in psychology; or related field
  • Experience: Minimum of four years in the disabilities field with progressive supervisory experience in IDD or related areas. Two years in delivering behavioral intervention services and writing/implementing behavior protocols.
  • Excellent writing and organizational skills, ability to work in fast-paced environment, creativity, advocacy skills, SCIP-R and CPR/First Aid certified, proficient in Microsoft Office application and willingness to travel to multiple locations and provide direct support to on-site program management.
