Position Overview

S:US is seeking a Shift Supervisor for their men's shellter in Brooklyn.

 

This position is located at 599 Ralph Avenue Brooklyn, NY 11233.

 

 

SCOPE OF ROLE:

 

The Shift Supervisor provides supervision and training to residential aides and community coordinators.

 

Supervision includes, but is not limited to, ongoing individual supervisory meetings; building inspections, ongoing feedback regarding job performance; coordinating work schedules, timesheets and requests for time off; coordinating work assignments; evaluating paperwork and documentation including the Security Log and Maintenance Work Order Log books; coordinating security and maintenance staff training, development and evaluation.May  also be required to fulfill duties of residential aides and/or custodial personnel in their absence.

 

Qualifications

  • F-80 is required.
  • Security license is mandatory but may be obtained within 6 months if hired.
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 2+ years of experience in Security or Building Maintenance is required.
  • Ability to provide crisis intervention utilizing good interpersonal skills with a high level of maturity and responsibility
  • Experience in office management and/or staff supervision is required.
  • Experience working in a large residential/institutional setting with a special needs population is required.
  • Strong writing, interpersonal, and organizational skills required.
