Position Overview

The Regional Director is responsible for ensuring the overall effective operation of the residential facilities for the Developmental Disabilities division by providing training and monitoring adherence to Federal and State regulations, agency policies and procedures and union contacts.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates services to ensured policies /procedures are implemented uniformly across residential program as applicable
  • Make recommendations on improvement to programming and operations of the facilities.
  • Reviews consumer personal allowance and banking ledgers
  • Conducts physical plant inspections and documenting findings
  • Reviews staffing patterns/schedules for appropriateness based on consumer need.
  • Reviews in-service binder for compliance to schedule and content
  • Reviews community inclusion documentation for appropriate frequency and content
  • Reviews recreation schedule and data for appropriate activities and documentation
  • Assists in problem solving for staffing issues
  • Participate interview process for all management staff
  • Reviews QIR’s for frequency and content
  • Provides training to new Program Managers on policies and procedures
  • Reviews Petty Cash, check requests, vacation proposals and Disciplinary actions

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in the human services field required; Masters degree preferred. 
  • 10+ years supervisory experience, 5 of which are in a managerial position is preferred.
  • Good working knowledge of ICF and IRA OPWDD regulations with an emphasis on Life Safety, Personal Allowance, Incident Reporting Procedures and Programming.
