Position Overview

The Wellbeing and Belonging Coordinator is a key member of the S:US HR team and is responsible for providing comprehensive support of DEIB initiatives across the company. The coordinator will work closely with our leadership teams to support providing a DEI lens to all activities and events across the company. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. This position leads our organization's efforts in fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace and community.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive DEIB strategies, initiatives, and action plans that align with S:US’s mission, values and business goals.
  • Work on developing employee resource groups and encouraging their active participation in promoting diversity and inclusion within the organization.
  • Develop and conduct training and workshops to raise awareness and enhance understanding of DEI issues, fostering a more inclusive and culturally competent workforce.
  • Develop communication strategies to raise awareness of DEIB efforts and celebrate diversity achievements throughout the organization.
  • Collaborate with HR, senior leadership, and various teams to integrate DEIB principles into recruitment, hiring, onboarding, training, and career development processes.
  • Establish and maintain metrics to measure the effectiveness of DEIB programs and initiatives, regularly assessing progress and making data-driven recommendations for improvement.
  • Act as a liaison with external organizations and communities to enhance partnerships and drive meaningful DEIB initiatives in our broader communities.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices, trends, and legal requirements related to diversity, equity, and inclusion, incorporating them into our company’s policies and practices.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience
  • Experience with diversity, inclusion, and equity practices and programs, especially with employee resource, affinity groups or networks, in the non-profit sector.
  • Strong understanding of DEIB concepts, best practices, and current trends
  • Sensitivity to cultural differences and a commitment to promoting equity and fairness
  • Familiarity with applicable labor laws and regulations related to diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • This position requires hybrid on-site presence as an essential function of the role. Consistent and predictable on-site presence is required for ongoing business continuity, the ability to provide in person trainings, and effective collaboration with colleagues and management.
