Position Overview

 

S:US is seeking a Data Manager for our short term prevention program Home Base.

 

This position is located at  516 West 181st Street (St. Nicholas Ave) New York, New York 10033

 

The Data Manager will assist with data management, analysis, and reporting of new and existing programs. The Data Manager will work with program leadership to conduct program evaluation and data analysis of programs and special initiatives, including a federally funded health care integration program.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support evaluation capacity of the agency; manage quantitative and qualitative research such as analysis of secondary data, data entry and cleaning, transcription of focus group and interviews.
  • Collect and analyze data, including bivariate, multivariate, and time-series analyses of multi-site evaluation data.
  • Collaborate with program leadership to create data management systems and reporting structures to monitor goals and outcomes in collaboration with program management.
  • Synthesize and summarize data for funding reports and internal use.
  • Support and maintain the use of databases systems required by funders (e.g. SPARS), including supervising data entry, reviewing data reports, and troubleshooting.
  • Assist with reporting.
  • Use graphics to illustrate data.
  • Embody and further the mission of SUS throughout the scope of work.
  • Conduct research on social, economic, housing, educational and other factors relevant to the program areas, including online sources, academic literature reviews and analysis of public datasets.
  • Perform other duties as required by the department.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree, master’s degree strongly preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience managing and analyzing data.
  • Experience with statistical data analysis software (e.g., SPSS), and advanced Excel skills including analytic functions (i.e., Pivot tables, formulas, etc.)
  • Experience using BI software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
  • Understand, appreciate, and respect diversity and cultural differences.
  • Experience with human services, healthcare, or public health setting is preferred.
