Position Overview

The Support Services functions at S:US are carried out by a team of professionals with differentskills, backgrounds and expertise who share deeply in the S:US mission. Reporting to the Director of Strategic Initiatives, the Intern will support the expansion and expediency of key special projects. By conducting research and identifying opportunities for improvement, this candidate will assist in cultivating projects that align with the organization’s strategic initiatives to impact S:US’ growth. The Intern will have the opportunity to participate in internal workgroups focused on strategic growth and innovation where appropriate, and take direction from key leaders including but not limited to the Director of Strategic Initiatives and the President and CEO. This role requires strong research, writing, and communication skills, the ability to manage time efficiently, a natural ability to generate ideas and make well-researched suggestions, and above all, a dedicated commitment to S:US’ mission and vision.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage key projects assigned by the Director and other agency leaders; prioritizing and
managing multiple projects simultaneously and following through on issues in a timely
manner.
• Assist in preparing policy briefings, talking points, presentations and proposals for internal
and external meetings or general initiatives as needed.
• Conduct and assemble research, track other program models, and generate ideas on a variety
of topics.
• Conduct literature reviews and other research methods as appropriate for key strategic
projects.
• Assist in the writing and revision of documents relevant to key projects.
• Participate in internal workgroups and meetings as necessary.

Qualifications

High school diploma
• Currently enrolled in an Associate’s or Bachelor’s program
• 1-2 years of work experience desirable.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
