Position Overview

SCOPE OF ROLE:

The Wellness Works CCBHC Psychiatrist will provide psychiatric and administrative services, within a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHC), a holistic behavioral health care clinic modeled after Federally Qualified Health Centers.

 

This is a part-time role open to schedule negiotiation based off the candidates availabliity. 

 

Location: Brooklyn, NY 11238 Fulton Street on the C Line

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide medication management, including medication assisted treatment, and psychotherapy directly and in consultation with CCBHC and primary care staff: prescribe, educate, adjust, and partner in full consumer engagement efforts regarding strategies, outcomes and consequences
  • Document medical and psychological histories, assessments, diagnoses, and outcomes.
  • Oversee aspects of the CCBHC’s psychiatric care including evaluations, medication, crisis, etc.
  • Provides supervision to psychiatric nurse practitioners and registered nurses at CCBHC clinic
  • Collaborate, consult with staff, and sign off on treatment plans, particularly for complex cases
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • M.D., Board Certified in Psychiatry
  • National Provider ID Number (NPI Number)
  • 3-5 years managerial experience in a behavioral treatment setting
  • Experience with underserved populations and direct service to people living with serious and persistent mental illness
  • Ability to prescribe MAT
  • Experience with treating adolescents and children, a plus
