The minimum and maximum salary for this position is $23.00 per hour.
The Developmental Disabilities Division believes that our role in supporting people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities is to live meaningful lives as determined by the person. The Shift Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that the people have the support and resources necessary to live meaningful lives, and that they align with their needs and aspirations within their respective program and communities. He/she/they will monitor and ensure active adherence to all plans for each person supported with intellectual/developmental disabilities. The Shift Supervisor will ensure proper support is in place and necessary resources are made available to Direct Support Professionals to ensure proper adherence to person supported scheduled of activities.
The Shift Supervisor serves as a role model to staff and people supported and will help to develop best practices to support both the person supported and Direct Support Professional.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Person Centered Planning
• Ensures that a person-centered focus is used to provide care and support by all staff who work within the program actively seeking out different approaches.
• Promotes the independence and self-determination of individuals, utilizing person-centered practices that focus on the individuals’ strengths and preferences while simultaneously addressing their needs.
• Promotes participation in activities of meaningful daily living, such as vocation, recreation, volunteerism, engagement.
• Ensures a positive climate that promotes respect and dignity for people supported.
• Provides opportunities for people support to personalize their environment, schedule and experiences in program.
• Supports the person’s independence, choice and outcomes.
Provides prompt, efficient, and personalized support to meet requirements, requests, and concerns.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• High School Diploma or approved equivalent.
• Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in Intellectual Disabilities/IDD or related field
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
• SCIP-R; CPR & First Aid is required.
• AMAP certification is required
Note: S:US will provide on-the-job training for such certifications.
